Here are a few facts to chew on about the Dem. nominating process. The superdelegates don’t count toward the 2025 goal, only pledged delegates, and since neither candidate will likely reach 2025 during the primaries, no decision about a nominee can be made until August. That’s why all this talk about superdelegelates needing to make up their minds has been a side show. It simply diverts attention from Michigan and Florida debate. Since Obama refused to allow a re-vote in Michigan, it follows that he has forfeited his claim on any delegates from that state. Unfortunately, Howard Dean and the rest of the party establishment have repeatedly demonstrated their allegiance to making him the nominee – by hook or crook. And you can bet that at the Republican convention in Sept., Karl Rove will try to convince G.O.P. delegates to jump ship on McCain, citing health reasons or a technicality, then push through his Bush-Cheney successor ticket. Obama will then lose in November (He obviously won’t win Michigan, Florida, Ohio or Pennsylvania, so it doesn’t take Nostradamus to predict this). Then Dean, Pelosi and Reid will keep control of the Dem. Party and the country will slide further down the drain.
